Sailing toward Linz

We sailed toward Linz all afternoon.

We had to go through several different locks on our way.  This one we shared with a double barge.

So this is us entering the lock.

We are next to this barge.  The barges here are a bit different that what we see at home.  The Captain lives on the barge with his family.  He usually has his car on the barge and when in port, he will take the car to shop, etc.

This barge worked as a tug and pushed the forward barge along.

You can see how deep we dropped in this lock.  The gates in the front are just opening.

Just another great view along the Danube.

I was sitting on the balcony doing my cross stitch and playing with my camera.  So the following pictures were all taken by me to show the range of the camera.

The ruins of a castle, I think.

Just another boat using the Danube as a means of transportation.

These guys are bikers getting from A to B.

This is with the regular lens setting.  And when I zoomed in, the camper came into view.  On the first picture it is just a white object.

This is at full zoom.

A neat little hotel on the River.

Another view of the hotel.

Lovely flowers in bloom.

Just like in Heidi.

We stopped in Linz to pick up the passengers who went to Salzburg.

This is Peter.  He did decide to go.

And this is Kay on the left and Marilyn on the right from New Zealand.
