Day at Sea

Saturday the 18th of February and we are at sea.  Bob was up early and started the wash.  And I end up taking it from the dryer and folding the clothes.  Works great for us.  We like to do it early as later there is always a line waiting to use the laundry room.  We then went up to the pool to do one hour of water exercises.  Because we are at sea, the water is rough.  Tough to swim but great exercise.  Bonnie was there but David decided to walk the deck instead.

Breakfast on the aft deck.  We nice out there, no wind and the sun was in the right position so no glare.  Then we went to the Coffee Connection again while the cabin was being cleaned.  I then went to the needlepoint gathering where we chatted and sewed.  I attended the lecture on Brazil and learned that the okay sign we use is obscene and to use thumbs up instead.

The seas today are fairly calm but seems to be lots of wind.  We had lunch up in La Veranda.  Today they were having a Gaucho BBQ.  I did try one of the sausages and it was great.  Then to the cabin to read and nap.  After our nap we headed for our coffees and then I went to needlepoint and trivia.  Terry (the lecturer) joined our team.  We did better today but did not win.

Dinner tonight was in Compass Rose.  We had been invited to sit with August (the Food and Beverage Manager) and Franc (the General Manager).  Another couple was also at the table.  Bonnie and George from Stuart, Florida.  This was their first Regent cruise.  They usually sail on Seabourn.  I had the sea bass which was very good.  It was a great table.   Learned lots about how the ordering of foods and the difficulty in getting produce down here.  All in all, a great night.

Back to the cabin to read and lights out.  Tomorrow we are in Porto Belo, Brazil.
