Sea Day Continued

Well let's see where we were.  Oh yes, day two.  Up to swim for one hour and then a quick breakfast as I had a hair appointment at 8am.  I think he did a nice job.  I look like my old self.  Then to needlepoint and then the lecture on the Amazon.

We crossed the bar at about 2am.  That is where the Amazon waters reach the Atlantic.  You must slow down as you cross it.  At any rate, we are now in the Amazon and will be here for several days.  The water is quiet but really brown in color due to the sediment.

We had a service stop where we took on two river pilots.  Plus some officials came on board to check our documents etc.  Then we were off again.

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful with lunch, reading, coffee, needlepoint, tea, and trivia.  We dressed for dinner and had our cocktails in the Mariner Lounge.  We were joined by a couple from France. Bob commented on his mustache which is quite bushy.  Turns out they are both Drs. He is retired GYN and she is Pathologist.  She does not speak English but he is pretty good.    They did not join us for dinner as she is not comfortable not understanding the language and speaking English.  We had dinner in Compass Rose and I had a rib eye which was very good.

After dinner we headed up to Observation Lounge for an after dinner drink with Bonnie and David.  Red joined us but Annie had turned in already.  Only did one round and then back to cabin and bed.
