First Sea Day

Today is Saturday the 7th of January and our first full day of this cruise and we are sailing off the coast of Cuba. Weather is sunny but very windy and sort of cool.  Seas are calm.

The above pictures are of our cabin.  We think there is a lot of wasted space but everything fits so it is just fine.  With the cabin, we get a butler.  He is from India and our cabin stewardess is from Manila.

Yesterday after we embarked we attended the Muster drill.  Our luggage finally arrived and we were glad to see that all the bags made it.  We unpacked and put away our things.  Seems everything fits although we were not sure in the beginning.  We headed up to the top deck to watch us sail away but it was dark by the time we left Ft. Lauderdale.  I think this is the first time we have left in the dark.

We dressed for dinner and had to wait for a table for 2.  When we finally were going to our table, someone else was sitting there.  We were then taken to another table and enjoyed a very good meal.  We went to the show, surprise surprise, and it was just an introduction to the staff and what is to come.  But they did have a comedian who was quite good.  He will do a full show later on in the trip.

Back to the cabin and read some and lights out.

This morning we did not get to swim as they were filling the pool.  We enjoyed breakfast and then a quick trip around the track but it was too windy for me.  Will finish later as it is still early in the day.
