Port Stanley, Falkland Island turned into three sea days

Tuesday we were scheduled to anchor at Port Stanley, but the winds are so strong the anchor cannot hold so we are skipping this port.  We were up early as we had an excursion that gathered at 7:25am.  We had a light breakfast in La Veranda and then back to the cabin where we put our stuff away.

Yesterday was a day at sea.  The seas were fairly rough and it was difficult walking without holding on.  But we made it.  They have emptied the pool and so we have been unable to do our water exercises.

We had dinner last night at Prime 7 which was good.  Both Bob and I had the surf and turf.  But we could have shared it as I did not eat it all.

It was a quiet day.  Needlepoint twice and I stayed for the trivia.  Did not know much this time but I did know that the color of the sari the bride wears in India.  Red.

So today is a full sea day.  We started with a light breakfast in La Veranda and then were told by the Captain that we had to skip this port.  He did sail around the island for us to see as much wild life as possible from this distance.  Some penguins and a few sea lions.

Needlepoint at 9am and team trivia at 10:30am.  We got a needlepoint team together but we did not win.  Seems there are some folks here who always win.  It is the team from Cruise Critic group.  Maybe they are just lucky.  Lunch in Compass Rose and now a nap for Bob.

I think we will have another sea day tomorrow.  We are making our way up the coast of Argentina to Puerto Madryn.  We are scheduled to get there on the 9th.

Yesterday was a scheduled sea day.  Needlepoint, trivia, etc.  We don't mind sea days but some of the people do and one lady is getting off the ship tomorrow.  Sorry about that.

Last night the show was Ray and it was before dinner.  We like them before dinner.  He is quite the showman.  He makes his own puppets and last night did a routine that included 14 puppets at a time.  Not really puppets, marionettes.

Dinner was great in Compass Rose.  I had the lamb chops and Bob had a pasta dish.  The pasta dishes on this ship are wonderful.  During dinner the Captain announced we were speeding up to get to Puerto Madryn by midnight.  We had another medical emergency.  We had be going only 14 knots but now we were putting the pedal to the metal and going faster.

After dinner we returned to the cabin and started watching "Horrible Bosses" but it turned out to be another dud so we turned it off and went to sleep.
