Today we are day two of three here in Buenos Aires. Bob got up at 5:45am and woke me to say he was heading to the pool. I tried to upload some pictures and joined him at 6:10. Our excursion is not until 9:20 so we had some time to get our exercises in. Breakfast on the aft deck of La Veranda and then back to the cabin to read for me and Bob is working on his pictures.
We gathered for our tour. Took the shuttle bus to the port entrance and got on our bus. Today we are doing Tigre Delta and River Cruise. The bus drove us through Avenida del Libertado, one of the most beautiful ways to get to Buenos Aires. We passed by the residential suburban neighborhoods of Vicente Lopez, Martinez, Olivos, and San Isidro. We stopped in San Isidro for about a half hour to shop or take pictures. This is a very nice neighborhood. There was a small square and a beautiful church.

Then we headed to Tigre River. This is a maze of rivers and channels of the Tigre Delta and has been a favorite weekend getaway for the residents of Buenos Aires. In the Delta, homes have electricity and satellite TV but no water or gas. They use the river water after putting it through a filter for bathing and cleaning but use bottled water to drink or cook. And bottled gas. Everything is done on the rivers. There are about 3000 people who live on the islands. Most of the homes look like summer cottages. It was a nice ride.

We returned to the ship for lunch in La Veranda and Stan came over and sat with us. He is feeling better today. Now is nap time.
Up and dressed for dinner. Headed to the Horizon Lounge for our cocktails and spoke with Bonnie and David. Then we left as we had reservations at Prime 7. Sat at a window table for 2. Bob had the lobster and I had the Dover sole. All very good. Back to the cabin to read and lights out. We had not gotten our USA Today copy earlier, asked Anu about that, and it was on the bed when we got back from dinner. So we did the puzzles before we turned out the lights.
