Cairns, Australia

Friday finds us docked in Cairns.  The weather is going to be rain.  We were scheduled for our tour in the afternoon but decided we did not want to take another bus ride so we cancelled it.  We were up early and I headed to the coffee connection to work on the computer.  There is good service there and not so good in the suite.  Bob joined me and Enzo stopped by.  I asked him if he could arrange a dinner for us in Prime 7 for our anniversary.  He said, no problem.

Went up to La Veranda for breakfast.  Since it was raining, we ate inside.  Ed and Sharon from next door joined us.  I only had tea, cheerios, and blueberries.   I am doing great at breakfast.  Not so great the rest of the day.

Returned to the suite where Bob started working on the pictures from yesterday and I did some needlepoint.  Then I went down to Horizon Lounge and on the way, met Enzo who said "done".  Nice to have friends in high places.  Enzo is corporate who deals with both Oceania and Regent and we have known him for several years.

So today ended up being like a sea day.  It continued to rain all day so we stayed on the ship.  Lunch in La Veranda of soup and salad.  Then back for our nap.  After nap, worked on needlepoint and such.

Dressed for dinner and headed to Horizon Lounge where bingo was just finishing up.  We stayed there for a while and watched the people try to impress us with their dancing.  NOT!!

So we went up to the Observation Lounge and sat at a nice table for two when Bob and Marilyn spotted us (they were sitting at the bar) and came over so we moved to a table for four and finished out drinks with them.  They were having dinner with the Captain.

Dinner at a table for 2.  I tried the Canyon Ranch Dinner.  Low Cal.  Shrimp.  I could not finish the entire dish.  No dessert.  Back to the suite to finish watching "Gravity".  Boy, did that end strange.  Oh well.  Then lights out and bed.
