Four Sea Days on our way to Aqaba, Jordan

We spend four sea days traveling to Jordan.  This area is known for pirate attacks so along with our ship security we had four Israeli guards along to assist if we needed it.  But the passage went along without a hitch.  They asked us to keep the outside lights off and the curtains closed in all the lounges and dining rooms at night.  Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.

Our days were pretty much the same with swimming early in the morning, needlepoint in the morning and the afternoon and food.

We did have dinner in Prime 7 one night and Signatures one night.  Both were very good.

Sunday afternoon they had the English Country Fair.  Bob took lots of pictures.  Every department sets up a game booth of some kind.  Then the passengers play the games and win tickets and at the end, they raffle off some prizes.

This was the engineers booth.  And they were hamming it up for the camera.

These were the cabin stewards.  You got to throw a water balloon at them and you won the score on the blocks.

And the wine servers.  On the right is ViJay and I am not sure who is wearing the wig.

Franc, the general manager, bought this bike in China.  He and Ray, who also bought one, raced around deck 12.

The restaurant team did tug of war.

They made sure it was one of the waiters who fell into the water.

The shallow end always won.

This is Ray with his new toy.

Franc and Ray getting ready to race.

And here they come.

Pretty intense.

Ray takes the lead.

And the winner is.

All in good fun.

A victory lap.

The crowds from deck 12.  Everyone seems to be having fun.

So our Captain Mario decided to take a spin with Franc.

And here they go.

Quite a pair.

And not to be outdone, Gami gets a ride with Ray.

And on Monday evening, Ray had his show before dinner.  After the show we went into the Voyager Lounge for our cocktail.  Amy and Steve from LA sat with us for a bit.  They are like to dance but Amy cannot do the turns as she now gets dizzy.  They left and went in for dinner and Ray came and sat with us.  So we had dinner with Ray at a nice table for four in the upper corner.  Ray told us about his childhood and his brother and sister. A nice time.
