Travel Day

Today we flew up to Montreal.  Our transportation arrived at the house a little early, which makes me happy.  We had an unevenful ride up to the airport.  Security was a little crowded but we had plenty of time so there was no problem.  I made it through with no trouble but Bob seemed to be held up.  He had his mutli tool in his carry on so they took it.

Our flight was a little delayed but we made it to Newark in plenty of time and our gate was right next to the one we came in on.  These plane are small so you have to gate check your roll a boards.  So there was a bit of a wait to get them back.

In Canada, we had to go through customs and immigrations.  I do not remember ever doing this before. But the long line was for the local folks.  We went right up to the desk and through.  Got our luggage and headed to the taxi line.  The ride into the center of the city was slow as there is a lot of road construction going on.

Checked into the hotel and up to our room.  Unpacked our carry ons and then down to the lobby for the managers reception.  Now they give you coupons and you trade them in for your drink of choice.  We decided to eat here in the hotel as we were tired and we do have reservations at nice restaurants for the next three nights.

Back up to the room where I am watching Florida State, Clemson football game and Bob is reading.  Tomorrow we will hit the streets and visit this wonderful city.
