Montreal

Yesterday was Sunday so after breakfast here in the hotel we headed out for a walk.  The weather was cool but clear so not so bad for these Florida folks.  We first walked down to the port but there were no ships in port.  This is the end of the season so ships are making their final run.

We saw they had a hop on hop off bus so decided to do that on Monday.  We then walk up to the IGA store and stocked up on some beer, wine, chips, tea, etc.  Back to the hotel for a beer and chip lunch plus I had an apple.  I then watched some of the NFL games.  Really great not to have to see the Jacksonville team.  It is hard to even call them a team.  Oh well.

We cleaned up and headed down to the managers reception before we walked to the restaurant for dinner.  The restaurant was quite good but pricy but what else is new.  This is a major city so prices are on the high side.  We walked back to the hotel and watched a bit of the Sunday Night Game.  Then lights out.

Monday we slept in and had breakfast at Tim Hortons.  This is Canada's answer to Dunkin Donuts.  We then caught the hop on hop off bus and took it all around the city.  This takes about two hours.  The ticket is good for two days so today we just rode around and tomorrow we will go to some of the sights.  Most museums are closed on Monday.

Lunch in the hotel dining room and then to the room for nap and such.  The weather today is cold and cloudy so not good for pictures.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.  While Bob naps, I will work on the blog and then some cross stitch.   Tonight we are having dinner at Europea.  Will tell you all about it later.  I used Open Table to make the reservations ahead of time.  I tried to find good restaurants that we could walk to and not have to take a taxi.
