Embarkation Day

This morning we ate breakfast at the hotel.  While eating, I spotted a lady that looked very familiar to me.  So I went up to her and low and behold, she was on our South American cruise last year.  Her name is Mary Kay and this time she is traveling with her daughter, Kate.  Kate is an attorney from Colorado who works for USAA.  Mary Kay is from Florida.  Kate's house burned down this past year during the forest fires.  And USAA would not insure her due to the fact that she lived in the forest.  Appears USAA was correct.  Now at least, she has a view of Pike's Peak.

We returned to the room to pack and get ready to travel to the ship.  We left the hotel around 11:45am.  The taxi took us a route I was sure was wrong but guess what, he was right.  We are not docked where the other two ships are but a distance away.

Once on board, we headed up to the pool grill for lunch.  We sat out by the pool but when we finished, we headed to the coffee bar to wait until the suites were ready.  At 2:30 pm we were able to go to our room and our luggage was here.  So we unpacked and put things away.  Plenty of space this time.

We sail at 6:00pm but the muster drill is at 5:15pm.  Our room stewardess came in to introduce herself to us.  RoseMarie.  Now just waiting for the muster drill.

Dinner tonight will be in the Compass Rose.

While having lunch, met up with Ray who is the cruise director.  He was our cruise director on the South American cruise.  And he will be our cruise director on the long one next year.

Will post now and tell about dinner tomorrow.
