Today the weather was not as windy as yesterday. We decided to have breakfast on the aft deck. Very pleasant back there and covered so you are out of the sun. They had champagne and caviar for a breakfast treat so that is what Bob had. I don't like caviar so I had an omelet which I shared with Bob.
We went to the Shore Excursion presentation to learn about our upcoming stops in Cartagena, Manta, and Guayaquil. After the lecture I gathered to meet some of the Cruise Critic folks along with Ray, the cruise director. Good to put faces to names. Only ten of us showed up but was interesting at any rate. We watched a video Bob brought with him on Van Gough and then headed to the Compass Rose for lunch.
After lunch and a nap for Bob, I watched to Giants football game. Later I attended the needlepoint group and stayed for tea. Today I sat with Mary from Carlisle Pennsylvania. She knows our friends Frank and Judy. Her husband retired from duPont. They lived in West Chester when he worked at duPont in Wilmington. Small world.
We headed up to the pool to do our water exercises and while we were swimming, a gentleman had a problem in one of the hot tubs. The pool attendants tried to assist him but were having a lot of trouble as the man was quite heavy and the pool guys are small. Bob went up to assist and they were able to get him out of the tub and into a wheelchair. He turns out to be a retired Orthopedic surgeon and Bob told him he needed to lose weight. I think they took him down to his cabin. Must have gotten hypotensive and weak.
We returned to our swimming and our hot tub and then returned to our cabin to dress for dinner. We had cocktails in the lounge and headed down for dinner in the Compass Rose. Dinner was good and we returned to our cabin to watch the end of the Pittsburg Denver game. Looks like Pittsburg got Tebowed. Fun game and great outcome for our Tim fans. Not so good for our Ben fans.
Tomorrow we have our first port of call. We are docking at 11 am in Willemstad,Curacao.
