At Sea

Tuesday we spent the day at sea.  Both Bob and I like sea days as it gives you a chance to catch up on the log, pictures, and reading, etc.  Because we did not sleep well in Quito, we slept in and got a late start to the day so no swimming yet.  We headed up to La Veranda for breakfast.  We sat outside as it was a nice day and not too windy.  But it was windy for some people.

I attended the lecture today on "Land of the Inca" which was good and informative.  Terry Breen has been doing this cruise for 14 years.  Nice gig.  After the lecture, Bob and I headed to the Coffee Conection for a latte and to read the paper.

This is a great gathering point on the ship and usually you can find many people using it.  We returned to our cabin and I worked on my blog and Bob labeled pictures.  We had lunch in the Compass Rose again.  They had a seafood buffet on deck but it always gets so crowded that we elect to eat in the dining room.

After a lunch and a nap, I headed up to the needlepoint gathering.  This is a nice way to meet others and just chat.  I did not stay for trivia and went back to the cabin to get Bob and go swimming.  We didn't go up to the pool until 6pm as they were cleaning the deck so we only stayed for 30 minutes.  When we returned to the cabin we noticed the laundry room was empty so I did a load of clothes and we had our cocktails in the room while the clothes were doing their thing.

Dinner was good and quick.  No soup, no salad, no dessert and no coffee or tea.  But we did have wine.  Of course!!!  The show was pre dinner and we were busy swimming then so we returned to the cabin for a nightcap and bed.  Tomorrow is the first stop in Peru.
